Overall 5th Place

• It was a fun filled ride of 6 monthssince enrolling and naming our team !!
• With 2 individual wins and 1 team event win, Team Science MAVVENs stood at overall 5th Place in the Olympiad
• We are incredibly proud of our 5th graders !!

Instant Challenge 2nd Place

• Unlike the other categories, Instant Challenge is a rapid fire event where the problem statement is given on the spot. The teams are required to brainstorm, resolve the problem and present to a judging panel within a strict time limit of a few minutes. 
• The Instant Challenge this year was to build a bridge out of paper / cups and other materials. The bridge should be able to hold a small weight.
• Team Science MAVVENs built the challenge quickly all within an 8 minutes time frame. Their design and presentation impressed the judges.

Theory Event (2nd Place)

• Team studied three different topics - Weather or Not,  We’ve got Chemistry and Food for Thought. 
• Each test included 5 Critical Thinking and 10 General Knowledge (multiple choices) and 5 critical thinking (free response) questions to be completed by 2 participants in 30 minutes
• Team won 2nd place for - We’ve got Chemistry

Build Event (5th Place)

• Team worked over the months to build 3 unique devices - Egg Drop Contraption, Catapult and Rube Goldberg Device.
• Team won 5th place for the Rube Goldberg device which was supposed to ring a bell at 1 minute and raise a flag at the 2 minute mark.
