PTA Board Positions Needed

1st VP Fundraising - This person comes up with ideas to raise money for PTA to further support families and community engagement
 
Parliamentarian (optional): The Parliamentarian assists the president to manage meetings and advises on parliamentary procedure; Chairs Bylaws committee to review unit Bylaws each year and revise Bylaws every three years; Arranges nominating committee’s first meeting, providing information on nomination and election process
 
Historian - Historian showcases our PTA History. Take lots of photos at PTA events; Set up a display board to highlight our PTA activities in school hallway/office; share our PTA History at Back to School Night, staff luncheons and community events. Present ‘mock’ check to your school board to show dollar value of volunteer hours at end of school year; http://toolkit.capta.org/job-descriptions/historian/   
 
Committee Chairs Needed
Membership - This person educates more families on our PTA cause; is an ambassador; Attracts new members and retains previous members; Include a student, teachers and staff element in the campaign. http://toolkit.capta.org/job-descriptions/membership-chairman/ 
 
Directory - Help coordinate development of the school directory of families; We hope to have it printed and distributed to families with PTA membership 
 
Walk/Bike to School & Rodeo - Oct 5 - Reach out to street smarts liaison to find out the best way to promote the bike/walk to school day and bike rodeo. Hillary Wong - San Ramon SR.StreetSmarts@srvcouncilpta.org 
 
Art to Remember - Art to Remember helps parents and schools preserve children's artwork and support art education through custom-printed keepsakes. Make school fundraising easy and effective. Turn student artwork into treasured keepsakes for parents and loved ones. 
 
Book Club - Book club is a monthly event where parents who are passionate about reading, choose a book and gather kids to read, share and have a discussion or activity tied to the book. These book clubs are a great way to get kids excited about reading. This could either be before school or after school. It would need to be organized by grade level. 
 
Volunteer Tea - April 26 - This happens at the end of the school year and it’s just a nice thank you event for all the school volunteers. This volunteer who coordinates also presents the honorary service awards to parents who have done exemplary work as a part of the PTA and recognizes outgoing 5th grade parents.
